Fall Festival

We have Princess Belle, Strong Spiderman and Ariel the Little Mermaid. The kids had a ball dressing up and attending our church Fall Festival. Will post more pictures tomorrow. Todd and I dressed up too, you'll have to check back tomorrow to find out who we were...

We went to the free Summer movie at the Rave. Todd got the day off and joined us. We saw "Horton Hears a Who". It was a great movie and we all enjoyed it. Todd and Gates loved the popcorn. They ate (the girls and I did have a little) an entire large tub of popcorn at ten in the morning.

From this sign to the meeting of Spiderman it was 1 hour. That is longer than we wait to meet the Easter Bunny or even Santa.
One hour later Gates is running away from Spiderman. Ella and Mady Claire are also scared. Ella finally gives into her fear of Spiderman and takes a picture with him. Notice Ella's expression on her face...priceless!

Our family after celebrating the 4th

We went to Todd's Aunt Paulette's house to celebrate the July 4th holiday. We grilled out tons of food and even fried up tons of vegetables this year. Boy were we stuffed! The kids enjoyed playing outside with the cousins while Todd and I relaxed in some lawn chairs. We hade a great 4th and hope you all did too!

Splash Pad visit

We went to the Splash Pad for a visit. Most of the cousins were there. It was tons of fun for them. I only took a few pictures. Thought this last picture was the cutest. Gates is obviously related to me with his dark hair and white coloring.

Mama Dortha and the great-grandchildren

We had a wedding to attend over the weekend. Most of Todd's family attended the wedding as well. I got a picture of Todd's Grandmother, Mama Dortha with all the great-grandchildren. It was a sight to see.

Memorial Day

We went to my Sister in-law's house for Memorial Day. We had so much fun grilling out steaks and eating homemade strawberry ice cream. The kids had a grand ole time playing with their cousins. The pictures show Gates shooting hoops outside with Todd, Mady Claire riding (not really, Uncle Brian is pushing her) a tricycle and Ella worn out in Granna's arms. Ella had the most fun dressing up in Hannah's princess outfits and clothes.

Gates' 4th Birthday!

Gates celebrated his 4th birthday at the McWane Science Center in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. It was a great birthday party and I HIGHLY recommend having your child's party there. Here are some of the many pictures taken during the party. Gates, Ella and Mady Claire had a ball during the party, and after running the museum looking at all the exhibits. Thank you family and friends who came out to celebrate with us.

Gates also had his four year check-up. He weighed in at 41.2 lbs and was 43 1/2 inches tall. He is in the 90th percentile for height and 75 percentile for weight. He got his last four shots until he is eleven. He was a trooper.

The Girls

We have started calling Ella and Mady Claire "the girls". Here is a picture of the girls in their matching swimsuits that Granna bought them. They even have matching Minnie Mouse cover ups which are even more adorable on them! I believe they are the custest girls ever!!

Todd's mother who we now call "Granna", wanted to get all her grandchildren together for a picture. She hired Leigh Anne from LA Photography in Mount Olive, Alabama. We decided to have the pictures made at the Old Sardis School off Old Sardis Road in Morris, AL. We moved our original session time up a couple of hours due to the rain that was heading our way. The kids were a little fussy but, Leigh Anne was able to capture the most beautiful pictures. She is truly a talented photographer. What a pleasure it was to work with her. Batman, Super Girl & Super Messy Girl!

Gates LOVES to wear his Batman pj's. He wears them all the time. Ella just got her new Super Girl pj's for Easter and I think she likes them a lot. They run around together playing Batman and Super Girl. It is quite cute. We also have Super Messy Girl Mady Claire eating her chocolate poptart this morning. What a mess she made. I had to put her straight in the bath to get her clean. Just wanted you all to see how our house is filled with a bunch of characters...I'll post Easter pictures later this week!
